We believe in transparency, both within the foundation and in philanthropy at large.
100% of every donation goes directly to the cause and all foundation operating expenses are covered by the founder.
We have made available extensive information about our governance, operations, and finances.
HOW IT BEGAN
Every day, she would see enormous numbers of impoverished children on the streets. Many had ripped clothing and had no access to food, shelter, or education. Her parent’s sacrifice to give her an education and hope for the future transformed Katia’s arc.
After graduating, Katia saved and traveled from Brazil to America to improve and expand her English language skills. Serendipity soon hit by presenting her with an opportunity to extend her visit. Within a few years, she had been exposed to educational, social and entrepreneurship opportunities that she had no idea even existed. Some call it the “American Dream”.
Katia’s life has since been filled with many gifts and blessings but no children of her own. After reflecting on her good fortune and on the painful images and harmonics of her childhood, Katia was moved to do something to pay it forward.
These emotions led her to start “Katia’s Kids” -- the Katia Francesconi Children’s Foundation.
The foundation’s ambition is to bring to these young souls what Katia received from her parents: love, education and hope. And by bringing dignity and dreams to impoverished children throughout Brazil, she fills a void in her own life.

Katia is the founder of The Katia Francesconi Foundation and a true advocate of providing education, tools, and resources to impoverished children. She believes that by offering education to these children, they will see the road out of poverty.
Education is a right. Everyone, no matter what their economic background, should have the opportunity to dream bigger.
It’s been a wonderful journey for Katia to create and grow Katia’s Kids into what it is today, and she can’t wait for you to get involved so that you can also help the children who need you most.

Host an event with one of our partners brands and give back all at the same time. We will help organize the event and 15% of the sales will be donated to offer disadvantaged youth the education they need to succeed.
